Thomas Voigt is Group Vice President Corporate Communications and Political Affairs at the Otto Group, Hamburg. He is responsible for the internal and external communications of the retail and services group with around 30 major corporate groups. After studying communications and business administration, Voigt began his career as a start-up entrepreneur in the publishing industry. From 1989 to 1997, he was editor-in-chief of W&V and HORIZONT. From 1997 to 2004, he was editor-in-chief of the entrepreneur magazine Impulse and later of the young business magazine BIZZ.

Voigt has been a member of the Executive Board of the Academic Society since January 2023 and represents the interests of the partner companies (Corporate Advisory Board).
