In silent remembrance of Philipp Encz

The Academic Society commemorates Philipp Encz, Head of Group Communications at Commerzbank, who passed away unexpectedly on Pentecost Monday.

Commerzbank joined the Academic Society as a partner company at the beginning of this year. During this time, Philipp Encz was a member of our Corporate Advisory Board. In the few months we had the privilege of working with him, we came to know Philipp as an exceptionally dedicated, intelligent, and warm-hearted person. Even in this far too short time, he enriched our work in a special way with his commitment, professionalism, and integrity.

We mourn his loss and our thoughts are with his family and the team at Commerzbank.

Before joining Commerzbank, Philipp Encz was responsible for all communications at Citigroup. Prior to that, he spent around eleven years at Bloomberg in New York, Munich, London, and Frankfurt as a business TV journalist before transitioning into corporate communications. He also held various senior positions at Siemens in Munich and Airbus in Toulouse for several years.
