Michael Preuss and Jan Müller join the Executive Board
The Academic Society has appointed Dr Michael Preuss, Head of Communications at Bayer, and Dr Jan Dietrich Müller, Head of Group Communications and Managing Director at Swiss Re, to its Executive Board. They succeed Professor Christof Ehrhart (Bosch) and Thomas Voigt (Otto Group), who have been honorary members of the Academic Society since 2023.
“We are delighted that Michael Preuss and Jan Müller, two internationally experienced communications managers from well-known companies, will be contributing their expertise to the Academic Society,” explains Professor Ansgar Zerfass, Chairman of the Executive Board. “A big thank you goes to Christof Ehrhart and Thomas Voigt for their support over the past two years. Together, we have initiated many changes and raised the dialog between science and practice to a new level.”
In future, the Executive Board will consist of the following eight members, who come from both academia and industry:

- Dr Michael Preuss (Bayer)
- Professor Ulrike Röttger (University of Münster)
- Anke Schmidt (Beiersdorf)
- Susanne Straetmans (Pfizer)
- Professor Ansgar Zerfass (University of Leipzig)
- as well as Karen Berger (Academic Society)
