Dr. Madlen Mammen joins the Academic Society

Dr Madlen Mammen will temporarily assume key responsibilities in partnership management and strategy at the Academic Society for Management & Communication, deputising for Dr Sandra Binder-Tietz.
In her role, she will strengthen collaboration with corporate partners, supporters, and academic institutions, while contributing to the programmatic and organisational development of the organisation.
Madlen Mammen earned her doctorate in Strategic Communication under the supervision of Prof Dr Günter Bentele. She brings many years of experience in strategic organisational communication as well as higher education and science communication, including roles at the Humboldt Science Centre for Child Development (HumanKind) at Leipzig University, the ZEIT Publishing Group, and Scholz & Friends Agenda.
In addition, she serves as spokesperson for the Saxony regional group of the German Association of Higher Education Communication (Bundesverband Hochschulkommunikation) and is a member of the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space’s Taskforce #FactoryWisskomm on “Competence Development”.
With her expertise, she combines strategic communication management, network development, and the design of effective interfaces between academia, business, and society. A particular focus of her work lies in advancing communication as a leadership, knowledge transfer, and design function.
