Anke Schmidt has been serving as Chief Communications Officer at Fresenius SE & Co KGaA since June 2025. Before joining Fresenius, she held the position of Global Vice President Corporate Communications & Government Relations at Beiersdorf from 2020 onwards. From 2016 to 2020, she was responsible for BASF Group’s Corporate Communications & Government Relations. Prior to that, she spent 20 years in various senior roles in Communications, Government Relations, and Human Resources as BASF, both in Germany and abroad. 

Schmidt has been a member of the Executive Board of the Academic Society since January 2023, where she represent the interests of the partner companies(Corporate Advisory Board).
