Since September 2020, Anke Schmidt has served as the Head of Corporate Communications & Government Relations at Beiersdorf, the company behind renowned brands such as NIVEA, EUCERIN, HANSAPLAST, Labello, and tesa. Prior to her current role, she dedicated 24 years to BASF, where she held various leadership roles in communications and human resources both in Germany and internationally. Her notable positions included Head of Corporate Communications Asia Pacific, stationed in Singapore and Hong Kong, and Head of the Global Talent Management unit. Most recently, from 2016 to 2020, Anke Schmidt led the Corporate Communications & Government Relations unit for the BASF Group. She moved to Beiersdorf in Hamburg in summer 2020.

Schmidt has been a member of the Executive Board of the Academic Society since January 2023, where she represent the interests of the partner companies(Corporate Advisory Board).
