Günter Bentele is Professor Emeritus of Public Relations/PR at the Institute for Communication and Media Studies, Leipzig University. He read German language and literature, sociology, journalism, and philosophy at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and the Free University of Berlin, where he also completed his doctorate and habilitation. He currently researches and publishes on the history of PR, ethics and trust. Günter Bentele actively participates in several juries and advisory panels and is a member of the German Council for Public Relations (DRPR), the voluntary self-regulatory organization for the PR sector. He is also part of the academic management of the Academic Society for Corporate Management and Communication.
