Thomas Voigt serves as the Group Vice President Corporate Communications and Political Affairs at the Otto Group, Hamburg. He oversees the internal and external communications for the retail and services group, comprising around 30 significant corporate entities. After studying communication sciences and business administration, Voigt began his career as a start-up entrepreneur in the publishing industry. Between 1989 and 1997, he held the role of editor-in-chief at both W&V and HORIZONT. He continued his editorial journey from 1997 to 2004 as the editor-in-chief of the business magazine Impulse, and subsequently, the young entrepreneur-focused magazine BIZZ.

Voigt has been a member of the Executive Board of the Academic Society since January 2023, representing the interests of its partner companies (Corporate Advisory Board).
