HERMES DINNER & SCIENCE UPDATE 2026

About the event

In autumn, the Academic Society traditionally invites leading experts in corporate communications to its second annual exchange format: the Hermes Dinner with Science Update.

The Hermes Dinner brings together partners from academia and corporate practice in a trusted and informal setting. Following a keynote, the evening offers ample opportunity for personal conversations and in-depth exchange of experiences.

This year, the dinner will take place on Thursday, 19 November 2026, at Merck’s in-house guest restaurant “Ursprung” in Darmstadt. In advance, Merck invites participants to join a guided tour of its showroom “World of Life”.

On the following morning, Friday, 20 November 2026, participants will reconvene at the nearby Welcome Hotel Darmstadt for the Science Update. Our partner universities will present insights into current research projects, complemented by practical perspectives from within the partner network.

Participation is limited to a selected group of attendees and is by personal invitation only.

Thursday, 19 November 2026 | Program & Hermes Dinner
Ahead of the dinner, participants are invited to a guided tour of Merck’s “World of Life” showroom, offering insights into the company’s history, innovative strength, and working environment.

• 6:00 PM | Welcome reception, keynote address, and Hermes Dinner

Friday, 20 November 2026 | Science Update

• 8:30 AM | Welcome and Science Update at Welcome Hotel Darmstadt
• 1:00 PM | End of program with joint lunch
