In a brief interview, Michael explained what he hopes to contribute to the Academic Society as a new member of the Executive Board and which strategic topics he considers to be particularly important in the coming years.
What do you hope to achieve in your new role as a member of the Executive Board?
„My aim is to help further enhance the visibility and impact of the Academic Society for Management and Communication. That includes generating meaningful insights as a basis for learning and dialog amongst members and beyond. Ultimately, this is about positioning the Academic Society as a leading voice and think tank in the world of communications.“
How do you see your previous experience contributing to the Academic Society’s mission and work?
“My professional background equips me with a profound understanding of strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, digital landscapes, and brand management – to name a few. I think this wealth of experiences in globally operating businesses for more than two decades, coupled with my academic education, allows me to contribute effectively to the Academic Society’s mission.”
What should be the strategic priorities for the Academic Society in the coming years?
“We need to have a deep understanding of how AI revolutionizes our work going forward. What’s our role in this technological quantum leap that has just begun? We need to be ahead of the game in this fundamental transformation. That means expanding our knowledge through relevant learning opportunities and enhancing interdisciplinary collaboration.
