New Partnership with AbbVie

The Academic Society is pleased to announce the new partnership with AbbVie and welcomes Sebastian Wachtarz as a new member of the Corporate Advisory Board!
Sebastian Wachtarz is Director Government & Public Affairs at AbbVie Germany and leads a team of 30 employees. He graduated from Leipzig University with a degree in Communications and Media Studies. After working for Boehringer Ingelheim and Novo Nordisk Pharma, he joined AbbVie in 2017 as Director Public Affairs (Communication).
AbbVie Germany has its headquarters in Wiesbaden, a research and production site in Ludwigshafen and an office in Berlin. AbbVie is a global biopharmaceutical company and has a total of 50,000 employees worldwide in more than 70 countries.

“Artificial Intelligence.”
Why did you decide to partner with the Academic Society?
“Keeping my team and myself up to date with the latest in comms research and exchanging experiences in a network of like-minded individuals from very different industries.”
What is the best advice you have ever received?
“Always go to the people that make you feel uneasy. That’s where you learn the most.”
What is your favorite free time activity?
“Cooking and eating, cycling and swimming, listening to and making music.”
What are your favorite blogs, newspapers, or magazines to read?
