Professor Ansgar Zerfaß is Professor of Strategic Communication at the Institute of Communication and Media Studies at Leipzig University. He is also Professor of Communication and Leadership at the BI Norwegian Business School, Oslo, and Plank Scholar at the Plank Center for Leadership and Public Relations at the University of Alabama, USA. In addition to his academic roles, Professor Zerfaß chairs the Public Relations Division of the International Communication Association based in Washington, D.C., and contributes as a board member.

With a doctorate in business administration and a postdoctoral qualification in communication science, he spent a decade in corporate communications. He has published numerous books and articles on corporate communication, the impact of communication on value creation, and international communication strategies.

Zerfaß has been a member of the Academic Society’s Executive Board and Scientific Advisory Board since January 2023.
