Titel: Consulting as a success factor: How consultants and service providers support the journey to agile communications

What role do external service providers and consultancies play in the transformation to a more flexible, agile communications department? And how does collaboration between organizations and service providers change when both sides are using agile methods?

At the University of Münster, Prof. Dr. Ulrike Röttger and Dr. Christian Wiencierz (now Managing Director of REACH) analyzed tools, methods and processes to establish agile structures. A detailed case study of the collaboration between B. Braun Melsungen and TheDive complements the results of the study.

Methodology

  1. First, a systematic analysis of the existing literature on collaboration between organizations and communications service providers was conducted.
  2. In the second step, an expert survey and a case study were conducted.
  3. Case study with service provider Tandemploy that illustrates how innovative, intelligent tools from service providers can support the agility efforts of corporate communications.
  4. Anonymous interviews with account executives, senior account managers and senior project managers from leading agencies.
