GenAI is changing ways of working in corporate communication departments. By exploring scenarios of AI usage in corporate communications, this Essential offers insights into how AI integration affects the workforce. We present four scenarios developed by corporate communication professionals: (1) The Content Black Hole, (2) The Automated Void, (3) The Helpful Assistant, and (4) The Esteemed Co-Worker. These scenarios were developed through a mixed-methods approach combining LEGO® Serious Play® and the six-word story method. We discuss the potential cognitive risks involved in the adoption of AI tools in corporate communications.
