Keeping up the spirit: Internal communication in an increasingly virtual working world
Virtualization and the Covid 19 pandemic are also making internal communications work increasingly digital. In addition to the benefits that virtual collaboration brings, it also presents some challenges. For example, with less personal contact, it is more difficult to engage and motivate employees. A research team at the University of Vienna has therefore addressed the following questions:
- What challenges do internal communications experts face in an increasingly virtual working world?
- How can the goals of internal communication be achieved in a virtual context?
- What are the possible negative effects in an increasingly virtual working world? What can be done to avoid negative effects?
