Research Dialogue 2023 and the University of Vienna – A Review
Back to university for a day: Our partner companies had the opportunity to do so last week at the Research Dialogue at our partner university in Vienna. In addition to current findings and theories from research, the exchange between science and practice was intensified here.
After a guided tour of the oldest university in the German-speaking world and a relaxed get-together the evening before, the focus on Friday was on research on internal communication. The day began with presentations on trends in employee communications, CEO activism, appreciation and communication, and virtual collaboration.
In the afternoon, the topics were deepened in workshops and the participants were actively challenged: How can the research results on appreciation be transferred into practice? What are the participants’ personal experiences with appreciation in the workplace? And what are do’s and don’ts?
Three examples that were discussed:
- Are awards still a contemporary way to express appreciation?
- What is the importance of personal workstations in shared offices?
- How can appropriate topics and success stories be selected without overloading?
A big thank you to Prof. Dr. Sabine Einwiller, Neda Ninova-Solovykh, Dr. Christopher Ruppel and Julia Stranzl for the invitation to Vienna, the many scientific impulses and the new contacts that could be made!
